Spending Money In All The Wrong Places

09 Mar
2015

Why is it that business owners tend to spend their money in all the wrong places? Why do they put so much money into their office or desk or car when they are afraid to even put 10% of it on their website?

I wasn’t going to start quoting exact numbers, but I did find a report on Businesses With No Website Statistics. You can look up the reports yourself, but the sad truth is a very high percentage of consumers are searching for local businesses online, but out of 14,441,089 businesses surveyed, ONLY 24.8% have a website!

Another report estimates a quarter of  businesses who do have websites don’t even show up in the search results. Interesting statistic: a research of over 10,000 top-tier websites shows only 18.7% of them are mobile compatible. When it comes to the top 100 sites analyzed, only 11.8% of these sites are responsive web design.

Nearly 75% of mobile subscribers in the US now own smartphones. It may reach 80% or more by end of 2015. You want to see something scary but absolutely amazing? Read eMarketer’s report on Mobile Search Surpassing Desktop this year.

What does this really mean?

You not only need to make sure you have a website, but you also need to make sure your website is mobile compatible and is easily found in the local search results! If you don’t already have one, contact us IMMEDIATELY to schedule a consultation.

I recently met with clients who tell me they have tried all kinds of marketing, but resulted in no increase in customers or business. I find out they don’t even have a website. We put one up and suddenly they’re getting more calls and more sales. Strange phenomenon, huh?

Another client say they have a website, but it does nothing for them. They hardly get any traffic and the traffic they get jump right off. They’ve tried SEO, social media and email marketing with mediocre results. I directed them to reputation marketing and a re-design; suddenly they have more clients than they could handle. Again… a strange phenomenon.

Fact is, business owners are GREAT at what they are doing (most of the time), but they don’t know enough about marketing to make these decisions for themselves. Let us help you grow your business by getting you the resources you need.

If you already have a website, request a free analysis. You’ll receive a 3 page PDF report about your website and a free 30-minute consultation. Who knows, we might be able to find out why you’re not having as much success as you’d like.
