A lot of blogging software is specifically designed to be simple to use, but even the least intimidating blogging program can feel very overwhelming to somebody who has not spent a lot of time learning the ins and outs of different kinds of software. Particularly for newer bloggers, learning how to use the interface of blogging software is the most difficult part of blogging. If you are somebody who feels comfortable expressing themselves in another medium, it may prove to be well worth your time and effort to learn blogging software, but that doesn’t mean that the task will be easy.

The main thing that will help you find success as you learn how to use a new kind of blogging software is to try and take things slowly. Many people get so excited about learning to blog that they try to rush into the thick of it and start exploring the most complicated features of a program right away.

This can lead to getting confused and feeling frustrated, and all too many potential bloggers burn out during this stage of the process. If you take your time learning the basics of your blog software program before you move on to more advanced techniques, you will be more likely to retain what you have learned, and to keep feeling positive about your ability to understand the world of blogging.

I was on Facebook last night and noticed an ad for “12 Cent SEO Backlinks”. Sounds pretty good. It then continued with, “Unlimited one-way SEO links…on autopilot. True “Set and Forget” SEO linking. Just 12 cents per link. Check it out!” I smelled doo-doo, but I couldn’t ignore it.

Being an SEO person, I was interested to see what it was about.

Apparently you can buy 1,000 anchor text backlinks at a time for $127. Now, keep in mind that these 1,000 anchor text backlinks are split up among 5 blog sites. So it’s 200 anchor text backlinks from each site with a various number of posts.

Let’s just assume they’ll post 2-3 anchor text backlinks per post. That is between 66 and 100 blog posts. For the sake of argument, let’s just say 75 blog posts per site is pointing to your targeted URL.

In a way, it’s great that you get 1,000 backlinks, but in all reality – WAKE UP! THIS IS TOTAL BS.

In THEORY, you’ll have 1,000 backlinks, but do they really actually matter?

Let me prove my point. Think of a popular blog.

Let’s put Matt Cutt’s blog on for display. His blog has a PR7 (his domain has a PR5, just fyi).

Now if you look at his blog entries, what are their PRs?

Most of them are 0. Yeah, 0. How much link juice will you have from a PR0 page?

You see, Google doesn’t care about the PR of your domain when it comes to backlinks, they care about the PR of the PAGE you are getting a backlink FROM! So it doesn’t matter if the blogs LinxBoss carries are at least PR5.

Let me have you do another test. Here’s a URL to one of Matt’s blog entry:

UPDATE: If you’re here to bitch and moan about this NOT being a review, you need to just go. Most of you who complain that this is being reviewed without me actually using the product – oh well. Go cry me a river. I don’t have to use it to understand the underlying concept of it. I’m breaking it down to how it functions.

This applies to ALL backlinking networks, not just LinxBoss. Either you get it or you don’t.

Either read the whole thing, which continues in the forum where I TELL YOU that the concept works! And as I’ve used as an example for someone today, if you’re throwing 1,000 darts at a target, surely you’ll hit a bulls-eye at some point.

Yes, if you use LinxBoss or any other backlinking network, you’ll see SOME kind of result. I see results simply from doing blog commenting – so what? It only works to an extent. That is the whole point of this review.

Let me break this down in layman’s term for some of you folks that simply don’t get it:

You are promised 1,000 links pointed to 5 domains. There is no way LinxBoss is going to create 1,000 different blog entries for you. In fact, they use a lot of duplicate content – even customers of that service say so – so that’s not me guessing. You’re really going to get a max of 500 backlinks (considering it’s 2 links per post).

This was why I called it BS. I am not saying LinxBoss is full of it, just that the claim is very misleading.

Not all entries will get indexed, so you’re already under 500 backlinks. None of the blog entries will have any PR value (remember, they’re new and although SEs do index duplicate content, not all of them). Over time, a percentage of them will get indexed (but many will be removed as well), they will then become backlinks. So there is almost zero immediate value up front. However, for SOME sites, getting ANY type of backlink will boost their rankings.

Again, I have a website where I did ONLY blog commenting and it generated 1,200+ visitors a month after 2 months. I stopped after about 50 comments (not 500 or 1,000). Did I have to do any backlinking or use a service like LinxBoss, NO!

Now quit groaning and moaning and get on with life unless you have something constructive to contribute. If not, shut it.

Internet marketing is a cut throat business. You have to arm yourself with the proper know-how and the tools to make your website a cut above the rest. Each day, more and more websites are clambering to optimize their rankings in the search engines and if you lose your guard, you may just get trampled on and be left in the abyss filled with so many failed websites.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is a term widely used today by online marketers. For the past few years and the next ten years or so, search engines would be the most widely used Internet tool to find the sites that they need to go to or the product or information they need.

Most people that use search engines use only the ten top search results in the first page. Making it to the first page, more so to the top three is a barometer of a sites success in search engine optimization. You will get a higher ratio of probability in being clicked on when you rank high. The more traffic for your site, the more business you rake in.

But, it is essential to grab a hold of that spot or make your ranking even better. As I aforementioned, each day is a new day for all e-commerce sites to make them selves rank higher using search engine optimization. It is imperative to make your site better and better everyday.

So once again, what is search engine optimization? Search engine optimization is utilizing tools and methods in making your site top ranking in the results of search engines. Getting yourself in the first page and better yet in the top half of the page will ensure that your site will generate public awareness of your site’s existence and subsequently generate more traffic, traffic that could lead to potential income and business.

Search engine optimization requires a lot of work to be fully realized. There are many aspects you have to change in your site or add as well to get search engine optimization. These will include getting lots of information about the keyword phrases that are popular in regards to your sites niche or theme.

You may also need to rewrite your sites contents so that you could get the right keyword phrases in your site without making it too commercial but light and informative. There are certain rules and guidelines to be followed with making your site’s content applicable and conducive to search engine optimization.

You will also need to collaborate with many other sites so that you could get link exchanges and page transfers. The more inbound and outbound traffics generated by sites among others are one of the components search engines uses to rank sites.

Try to search the internet for many useful help. Tips, guidelines and methods for search engine optimization are plenty to be found. Read many articles that can help you optimize your site in search engine results. The more knowledge and information you gather the better. This will all help you in getting those high rankings. This may require a little time and effort in your part but the benefits will be astounding.

If you can part with some money, there are many sites in the internet that can help you in search engine optimization. There are many sites that help in tracking keyword phrases that can help your site. There are also some content writers that have lots of experience in making good keyword laden content for your sites that have good quality.

If your URL shows up far down the results list, the probabilities of the customer never finding you increase incrementally. After you achieve a high search engine position, it is necessary that you ensure you maintain the high ranking you have worked so troublesome to achieve. This implies you must come up with a technique to observe your search engines positions. This strategy is vital to the success of any selling campaign.

Think of your search engine positions as your internet portfolio. Would you let your stock portfolio be ruled by chance and market fluctuations, or would you keep close tabs on your stocks so you might buy and sell when the time is right? This is the way you need to think about your search engines positions.

Bear in mind that at first, after you have launched your search engine campaign and done all of the right things to enhance your rankings, you will most likely see a continual upward climb. What you want to be looking out for is the instant that upward climb reaches a plateau.

These are like the sophisticated rising and falling of stocks in a portfolio. Short-term movement is an essential component of the entire process. It’s the long term changes that you need to watch for and gear up to act on right away.

Investigating the long term trends of search engines positions is vital. The way in which search engines rank websites may change at the drop of hat. If you are not aware of these changes – lots of which are refined yet can be perilous to your ranking – your position may fall to the base of the list before you can get your bearings. To stop this type of precipitous drop, you have to make a system to watch your positions on an once per month basis. Invent a chart to keep tabs on your top ranking positions or your top pages, and make efforts to watch “the market” closely.

You need to also deal with your competitors – a vital factor you has to be vigilant about. Every month, expect position changes thanks to the continual changes that are occurring in your rival’s position, and be ready to adjust your promotional strategy to compensate for reduced rankings. Another factor to watch fastidiously is a unexpected drop of your positions in all search engines. This isn’t the same as monthly fluctuations – this may be a neon red caution sign. It might mean a few different things.

Some search engines depend on the results from other search engines, and it’s critical that you know which engines these are and keep an eye on all the engines they influence. The largest problem here is that search engines will occasionally change affiliations, and this will make a major shift in the geography of the web.

As an example, lately Yahoo made a decision to display only results gleaned from Google. So you have to not only watch your own positions, but you must keep abreast of seismic shifts in the landscape of the Net in total. In all cases, you should act quickly and efficiently to get back lost ground.

If costs you cash and time on a continual basis. Protect this investment as conscientiously as you would your money portfolio. In the same way, track your positions from an objective viewpoint, and study your positions on a consistent basis. Make sure your effort and time harvest rewards by keeping your eye on the huge picture – your long term selling campaign.
